Hollywood/LA/SantaMonquiqui\\DEJAVU
So it's been a while since I last posted -I've been a little busy. I haven't spent much time on the internet lately, which to be honest, has been pretty awesome! I've gotten so much done.. But two weekends ago we took, yes, yet another four day trip to Cali. We like it. Obviously.
Our friend John who was living there temporarily was about to leave for a job on an eight-month cruise, so we went to visit him one last time before he left. We went all over. West Hollywood, Santa Monica, downtown LA, Malibu; we tend to get slightly ADD on our trips ha. We just had fun hanging out and walking around in the sun, and eating at some delicious places. The plate pictured above has to my favorite one of the trip --LA Cafe, on 639 South Spring Street downtown LA. The chicken chipotle burrito is what I ordered. I'm not sure if the picture does it complete justice, but it was incredible. One of my friends also got a chicken pesto panini which was to die for! They also deliver 24 hours. So if you're ever in LA, seriously, check it out. Also check out the italian restaurant, Miceli's on Hollywood Blvd. One of my favorite restaurants ever: great ambiance, delicious food, and even live Italian opera singing. Very cool. So that about wraps up that trip.. I've got to slow down and actually start saving my money sometime soon, but I've got a trip to Vegas in a week to see Lady Gaga in her Monster Ball. After that, I promise I'll be taking at least a month or two breather ;)
SHOP:Consignment
I've always been a little weary of consignment store shopping. Something about wearing other people's old clothes.. I dunno. But after a trip a couple weeks ago, I think I was converted. These two items are just a few of my great finds. The 80's style wool flannel shirt on the left: $7.00. And the nordstrom-brand leather bomber jacket on the right: $28.99! It's probably from the 80's, but still in great condition, and was probably around $500 in it's time. Lucky find, lucky find..

MOAB,ut
Two weekends ago, I decided to take some personal time, and took a road trip to Arches Natl. Park and Dead Horse Point in Moab, UT. It was amazing. I had only been to the national parks once before, a few years ago, but didn't remember them being so breathtaking. Literally every turn in the road, when you're thinking it can't get any more beautiful, it does. There's nothing quite like the experience of being alone in nature; it's definitely one of my favorite things. I just stayed in a cheap hostel called the Lazy Lizard.. and well, not sure I would recommend it. But it sufficed! People travel across the world to see these incredible parks, and only being four hours away from me, it took me four years to take the trip. It's funny how easy it is to take such things for granted. But lesson learned. I'm excited to return soon, possibly for some biking when the weather warms up!
not to be cliche or anything, but it's too fitting. i played this a few times driving around the park.
